About the team and the role:

eBay, Inc. seeks Sr. Product Manager 1 - Technical in Austin, TX

What you will accomplish:

Job Duties: Define the complete vision and end-to-end execution of new and enhanced experiences across a key technology product for eBay’s sellers. Plan and direct a champion a data-driven and market-informed product strategy that aligns with eBay corporate strategy and delivers tangible outcomes for eBay sellers and the eBay business. Develop a compelling and iterative roadmap and launch plan that supports marketplace business growth goals and seller success metrics within the proscribed technology project budget. Collaborate with senior leaders across eBay’s management team to align plans with partners in the core product, design, and technology teams as well as within the teams across functions: analytics, marketing, operations, sales, and strategy. Manage the product development lifecycle from planning through deployment, utilizing experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies, and testing/validation methods throughout the product lifecycle to ensure the final product specifications align with quality assurance standards. Leverage design and research partnerships to get insights and feedback throughout the entire product lifecycle. Evaluate individual and team performance and build processes for continuous improvements to ensure efficient production and transparency among teams. Partner closely with program management to manage blockers and communicate product delivery dates and achievements – adjusting as needed throughout the project roadmap. Research and apply technological innovations in big data analytics and work with analytics partners to improve tracking, synthesis, and reporting methodologies used throughout product development. Partial telecommuting may be permitted from within a commutable distance.

What you will bring:

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or a closely related field plus five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Special Skill Requirements:

1.    Experience designing and executing experiments, including experiment design, data collection and analysis (2 years)
2.    Experience designing and implementing test-cases for different experiments (2 years)
3.    Experience in building Product Roadmaps in a data driven fashion (2 years)
4.    Experience working with data science team to develop machine learning models (2 years)
5.    Compile actionable data insights through descriptive and statistical analytics to support and measure program initiatives (2 years)
6.    Proficient use of Excel, SQL, and other analytical tools (2 years)

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
