About PlexTrac

PlexTrac is a cybersecurity SaaS platform helping security teams streamline reporting, exposure management, and remediation workflows. Our platform is used by penetration testers, red teams, consultants, enterprises, and managed security providers to operationalize security findings and improve collaboration across technical and executive stakeholders.

We are a remote-first company headquartered in the United States, with team members distributed across North America, Europe, and Asia. We are committed to ownership, transparency, practical problem-solving, and building products that customers genuinely rely on.

Why This Role Matters

We're investing heavily in the next chapter of our product, and design is central to getting it right. Security software is dense, high-stakes, and full of complex workflows. Our job is to make it clear, usable, and even enjoyable for the people who depend on it every day.

We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to take real ownership of that work. You'll partner closely with Product and Engineering to turn complicated, loosely-defined problems into experiences that feel obvious in hindsight. This is a hands-on individual contributor role with a lot of autonomy and a lot of impact.

We're hiring because there's more meaningful design work than our current team can take on, and we want someone we can trust to run with it.

Location: Remote — India only.

Responsibilities

  • Own the design of complex product areas end to end, from a rough problem to a shipped, polished experience.
  • Take ambiguous, loosely-defined problems and make them clear. You know when to ask questions, and when to push back on requirements that don't hold up.
  • Design across the full range of the product. Early work may span foundational, systems-heavy areas like administration and intricate permission structures, as well as highly visible, data-rich surfaces like dashboards that need to be both immediately clear and genuinely polished.
  • Partner closely with product and engineering to scope, design, and ship on tight timelines.
  • Use modern tooling, including AI, to move faster and explore more broadly, without lowering the quality bar.
  • Contribute to our evolving design system and design for consistency and scale.

Qualifications

  • Significant, demonstrated experience designing complex, data-dense product experiences (B2B, enterprise, or other intricate domains) and making them genuinely usable.
  • Strong systems thinking and attention to detail. You design for consistency, scale, and the edge cases other people miss.
  • Comfort operating with autonomy in ambiguity. You can take a rough problem and run with it, and you have sound judgment about when to ask questions and when to challenge requirements.
  • Clear communication. You can explain your design decisions and the reasoning behind them to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Comfort with fast-changing, modern tooling, and genuine interest in how new tools, including AI, reshape the way design gets done.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates relevant work.

Nice to Have

  • Experience designing for accessibility and compliance (WCAG, Section 508). This is an area we're actively investing in, and you'd have room to help shape it.
  • Experience in cybersecurity or another complex domain, with bonus points if specifically in exposure assessment platforms or tools such as CTEM (Continuous Threat Exposure Management), ASM (Attack Surface Management), or BAS (Breach and Attack Simulation). It will help you ramp faster, but we'll teach the domain to the right designer.
  • Experience designing both for AI features and with AI in your own workflow.
  • Experience contributing to or building out a design system.

Tools & Technical Environment

We're continually adopting modern tools and expect the shape of the work to change as they do. We currently use Figma, Claude Design, Claude Code, Jira, Confluence, and Pendo.

The technical environment is cloud and hosted deployment environments, enterprise security workflows, and modern SaaS infrastructure.

Work Style

We operate as a remote-first, distributed team with a strong asynchronous culture. We value thoughtful communication, autonomy, and collaboration, with core working hours that partially overlap with U.S. Eastern Time.

Employees are administered through our EOR partner: Remote.

We're committed to building an inclusive workplace where people from all backgrounds can thrive. We welcome applicants regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, or background.
