Summary:
As a Senior Product Designer at ZipRecruiter, you'll take ownership of key product areas, mentor other designers, and lead the design vision for major products and features. You’ll drive innovation and set high standards for user experience while collaborating with leadership and cross-functional teams to align design objectives with business strategies.
Key Focuses:
- Taking full UX ownership of large-scale and complex product areas, setting strategic direction and ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
- Define and execute the design strategy for large-scale projects, ensuring an intuitive and engaging user experience.
- Partner with stakeholders across the company to advocate for design best practices and user needs.
- Mentor and coach junior designers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with engineering leadership to integrate design seamlessly into the development process.
- Conduct and oversee user research to validate design decisions and optimize the user experience.
- Utilizing your expertise in designing in Figma and FigJam, and driving the evolution of design systems
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Expert proficiency in design tools such as Figma and FigJam.
- Experience defining and implementing design strategy at an organizational level.
- Exceptional ability to communicate design concepts and rationale effectively.
- Proven track record of leading high-impact design projects and initiatives.
- A comprehensive design portfolio showcasing your work– case studies preferred

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $152,500-$200,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and the range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, role-related knowledge and skills, depth of experience, relevant education or training, and additional role-related considerations.
Depending on the position offered, equity, bonuses, commission, or other forms of compensation may also be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
