Vimeo is looking for an experienced Senior Product Designer to join the Video tools team.
This role is based in Tel Aviv, reports to the Senior Manager of Product Design, and works horizontally across the product design team on initiatives that involve the full journey of video creation and editing. It’s an exhilarating chance to join a highly skilled and enthusiastic team, collaborating on groundbreaking technology ventures in Interactive video creation, text-based editing, AI, and more. We seek a pragmatic, detailed-minded designer with strong visual skills who desires to create amazing products.
What you’ll do:
- Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that effectively communicate design concepts and solutions to stakeholders.
- You will employ visual systems to ensure your designs harmonize with the broader product ecosystem.
- Lead the entire design process for multiple concurrent projects, from inception to launch, as the sole designer for two editing tools, ensuring all products meet the highest quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, encompassing product management, engineering, UX research, and data analysis, to gain insights into business and user requirements, and transform them into product designs.
- Proactively showcase your work progress and findings, participate in local and global review meetings, seek feedback, and provide feedback to other team members.
Skills and knowledge you should possess:
- Minimum of 4 years working as a product designer for a SaaS company.
- Proven expertise in interaction design, visual design, and product thinking, backed by a strong portfolio showcasing web design work.
- Demonstrated expertise in Figma, robust prototyping abilities coupled with a track record of conducting user research and usability testing to collect feedback and insights that guide design choices.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to convey design decisions effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product and Software Engineers, as the sole designer.
Nice skills to have, but not mandatory:
- Proficiency in designing editing tools and video products.
