Sr. Product Analyst - Optis IssuerAbout your roleThis Product Development lead will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business and technology to bring new products to market and enhance existing products within our Issuer Credit Processing product domain. Day-in-the-life responsibilities include refining features and business requirements into functional requirements, and ensuring successful project execution within both Agile and waterfall SDLC. This role involves collaborating closely with Product Management leadership, Technology leadership and various engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet Fiserv business objectives and client needs within our Issuer Solutions business. Candidates with deep subject matter expertise operating specific functions within the Optis issuer processing platform will be given priority for this position.
What you'll do:Own and prioritize the backlog, ensuring alignment with product goals and client delivery timelines.
Continuously refine and update backlogs based on feedback and changing requirements.
Collaborate with Product Managers to understand business requirements and translate them into detailed user journeys and stories.
Break down features into granular, actionable user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.
Collaborate with technology and business analysts to create a deep backlog and ensure readiness for development.
Facilitate product signoff on features before they are marked as Done in JIRA, ensuring all acceptance criteria are met.
Monitor progress through regular sprint planning and refinement sessions, maintaining a minimum of two sprints ahead.
Maintain open communication with stakeholders, providing updates on progress and addressing any questions or concerns.
Partner closely with mainframe engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility of proposed features and story refinement.
Provide subject matter expertise in Optis issuer processing functions, such as PCF, SSUPDATE, OCS, authorizations, non-monetary and monetary transaction flows.
Participate in schema reviews and contribute to API documentation efforts, ensuring usability for internal and external consumers.
Anticipate and manage cross-team dependencies involving APIs and integration layers and work proactively to mitigate delivery risks or technical blockers.
Stay informed on evolving platform architecture and advocate for scalable, reusable solutions across the product portfolio.
6+ years of proven experience as a product owner, product manager, or similar role within an issuer processor, acquirer, or card network platform.
Experience with Optis issuer processing platform strongly preferred.
Experience collaborating with development teams working in both mainframe and Java-based environments, with an ability to understand and communicate technical constraints and tradeoffs.
Strong grasp of the full software development lifecycle, with expertise in translating business requirements into functional activities with clear acceptance criteria.
Skilled in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies; proficient in JIRA, Confluence, and similar work management tools.
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with a consistent track record of working effectively across product, engineering, QA, and client-facing teams.
Strong organizational and analytical abilities with attention to detail and a proactive mindset toward problem-solving and delivery management.
This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.

Salary Range
$90,000.00 - $144,000.00These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
