Reporting to the Procurement Director, you will build and execute category strategies for assigned supplies, materials, or services in alignment with procurement policies while ensuring competitive pricing and meeting the needs of internal customers.

A Taste of Your Responsibilities

  • Plan and organize activities related to assigned spend categories.
  • Prepare and review contracts, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements to ensure legal compliance, pricing accuracy, and alignment with specifications.
  • Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, from purchase intent through delivery.
  • Negotiate complex agreements for materials and services to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Manage surplus materials, including coordinating buy-back opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand and support business needs.
  • Identify, recruit, and manage suppliers that deliver high-quality products and services at competitive prices while adhering to ethical standards.
  • Review and resolve vendor claims and contract issues in accordance with company policy.
  • Champion change management initiatives to integrate demand-driven principles across Procurement and the broader organization.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; coursework or certification in supply chain management preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or sales roles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience leveraging vendor relationships to achieve meaningful cost savings through strategic initiatives.
  • Project management experience with a demonstrated track record of delivering results.
  • Proven experience developing strategies and leading them through implementation.
  • Understanding of economic principles and technical considerations, with experience conducting value analysis and value engineering.
  • Negotiation and contract development experience.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Customer-focused approach with flexibility to support changing business needs.
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
  • Continuous learning mindset with a proactive approach to professional growth.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
  • Broad operations and marketplace knowledge; experience across multiple categories preferred.
  • Familiarity with electronic procurement technologies and systems integration.
  • Understanding of material requirements planning.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.

Compensation 

Pay Range:$82,000-$120,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
