SUMMARY OF POSITION:

We are seeking an innovative and highly motivated Senior Process Engineer to join our Distribution team who will contribute significantly to the optimization of automation, warehouse management systems, process development and execution for both internal DC processes and upstream/downstream processes. 

This individual is responsible for driving and developing process across systems including automation components, WMS, and other Distribution and upstream functions to provide scalable solutions to improve process reliability, system reliability and performance, safety, cost-effectiveness, scalability, and compliance. This position is a key contributor to the overall performance of the Distribution Center.

This is a multidisciplinary role and this individual will interface across many parts of the company (with customers, internal partners, external vendors) to develop the best solutions possible. The successful candidate will be a resident expert in the areas of driving performance through analytics and collaboration. It is expected that this individual will work closely with other cross-functional areas and partners to ensure deliverables are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Work to identify and communicate standards and best practices for process design to ensure consistency across DC and upstream/downstream processes
  • Work as the main point of contact for automation vendor support teams
  • Lead activities to develop and deploy processes to end customers
  • Lead and drive technology adoption program initiatives, including ROI analysis with internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop and review relevant SOPs for Distribution operations and systems
  • Perform assessments for new process introductions
  • Define and provide user requirements for technology equipment
  • Work with internal/external IT team on integration and optimization solutions
  • Provide technical leadership to Distributions team
  • Assess all major deviations including those that impact product safety, performance, cost, quality, agility
  • Provide input when troubleshooting processes on the Distribution floor
  • Prepare and present data associated with Distribution systems to drive utilization and performance
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering preferred, or replaced by Supply Chain experience
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience within Distribution or Supply Chain environments
  • Experience in leveraging data to drive process and performance
  • Must know and follow job safety procedures, attend required health and safety training, proactively promote safety at work, and promptly report actual and potential accidents and injuries. Must comply with safety policies of the company and site
  • Experience with Distribution systems, including WMS
  • Experience with process development
  • Self-motivated and passionate about technology and deploying best practice
  • Self-awareness, integrity, authenticity, and a growth mindset
  • Desire to be part of a rapidly evolving organization, with a compelling technology, and taking products and processes to the next level
  • Excellent planning, organization, technical writing, and time-management skills including the ability to support, problem-solve, and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
  • LEAN certification is a plus
