Job Summary & Responsibilities

We’re seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead process design, optimization, and troubleshooting across capital projects and operating facilities. You’ll develop process deliverables, drive technical excellence, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring designs meet safety, quality, and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead process design activities including PFDs, P&IDs, heat and material balances, and equipment sizing

Perform process simulations and hydraulic calculations (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus)

Support HAZOP, LOPA, and other process safety reviews; close out action items

Troubleshoot plant performance issues and identify debottlenecking and optimization opportunities

Review vendor documents and support procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup

Mentor junior engineers and review deliverables for technical accuracy

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (PE license preferred)

8+ years of process engineering experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial facilities

Proficiency with process simulation software and industry codes/standards (API, ASME)

Strong knowledge of process safety management principles

Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
  • 8+ years of process engineering experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, or industrial facilities
  • Proficiency with process simulation software
  • Knowledge of industry codes and standards, including API and ASME
  • Strong knowledge of process safety management principles
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Professional Engineer license
