Title:
Sr. Principal Telecommunication EngineerJob Responsibilities:
Take responsibility for the end‑to‑end delivery of the TSI/Telecoms Engineering Package.
Support the Telecoms Lead Engineer in all telecom-related engineering activities.
Develop Telecoms Systems Specifications, TSI Scope of Work, and Bill of Materials.
Prepare Telecoms system block diagrams, sketches, and related technical documentation.
Review and validate telecoms system studies including PAGA coverage, radio coverage, VSAT link calculations, and fibre optic link budgets.
Prepare technical requisitions and perform technical bid evaluations for telecoms systems.
Perform telecoms power consumption, heat dissipation, and weight calculations.
Liaise with clients to address engineering comments and propose technical solutions.
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, contractors, vendors, and suppliers to manage system interfaces and integration.
Ensure all telecom engineering deliverables comply with technical, quality, and schedule requirements.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Telecommunications).
Minimum of 15 years of experience in Telecoms Detailed Engineering in the Oil and Gas industry, preferably on offshore projects.
Knowledge of international regulations, codes, and standards affecting Telecoms Systems.
Knowledge of Telecoms studies and calculations.
Proficient in writing Telecoms specifications.
Team player who can interact effectively with colleagues from other disciplines, clients, and suppliers.
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with a Telecommunications specialization
- Minimum 15 years of experience in telecommunications detailed engineering
- Experience in the oil and gas industry
