Responsibilities include:
- Define and develop material strategies to support program and production needs.
- Assess supply chain resources; aggregate and prioritize demand requirements.
- Develop, coordinate, and execute material forecasts and delivery schedules.
- Participate in make/buy decisions, long‑term capacity and resource planning, product phase‑in/phase‑out, manufacturing ramp‑up, end‑of‑life and product-line management.
- Lead affordability, cost‑savings, and/or process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Program Management, Manufacturing, Procurement, Engineering, and Quality to resolve issues and meet manufacturing and test schedules.
- Analyze purchase material supply/demand positions using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools.
- Analyze lead times and identify critical‑path procurements.
- Work with suppliers to ensure on‑time delivery at required quality levels for critical components.
- Prioritize and communicate impacts of current and potential material shortages.
Basic Qualifications (Level 4):
- Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access
- Bachelor’s degree with 8 years combined experience in Goods Movement, Subcontracts, Purchasing, Contracts, Finance, Logistics, Planning, or Project Management
– OR – Master’s degree with 6 years combined experience in Goods Movement, Subcontracts, Purchasing, Contracts, Finance, Logistics, Planning, or Project Management - Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP/MRP systems and experience working with and analyzing large data sets
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project)
Preferred Qualifications (Level 4):
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Experience with supplier management
- Demonstrated communication skills with the ability to present information in an organized and effective manner
- Advanced knowledge of SAP or similar ERP/MRP systems and complex data analysis
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings
- Experience supporting proposal activities (roles and responsibilities)
- Experience with SAP MES or similar manufacturing execution systems
- Material management experience
- People leadership experience and familiarity with DoD operations

Salary Range:
The above salary range is a general guideline. Depending on the position, employees may also be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay.
