Northrop Grumman is seeking an Sr. Principal Supplier Quality Engineer to join the internal Supplier Mission Assurance team. This position will be located in Roy, UT.

What You'll Get To Do:
In this position, the employee will be responsible for understanding how Supplier Quality data is collected and then use that data to build metrics and charts for effective monitoring and measuring. The employee will also perform quality reviews to onboard suppliers onto the division Approved Supplier List (ASL), review purchase requisitions and flow quality requirements (Q-clauses), support the Approved Special Processor List (ASPL) by onboarding new suppliers and performing maintenance activities, perform audits at the supply base to ensure contractual requirements are being met, and lead/facilitate continuous improvement activities.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80A. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's of Science degree in related field and 8 or more years of relevant experience OR Master's degree and 6 or more years of relevant experience or PhD with 4 years experience.
Ability to develop, plan, and implement quality methods and strategies for procured items to assure the design, procurement, acceptance, and use of procured items.
Manufacturing/engineering experience
Experience with AS9100/ISO9001 requirements
Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government DoD security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
STEM degree in related field
Demonstrated knowledge of AS9100/ISO9001 requirements and lead auditor experience to these standards.
Extensive experience working with aerospace/defense industry suppliers onsite.
General experience with special processes
Experience in root cause analysis and corrective action
Six Sigma or Lean certifications
Demonstrated written and verbal interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to interface effectively with suppliers, customers, work associates/teams, and management
Ability to apply problem solving/critical thinking skills to support and resolve issues at the supply base
