Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Sr Principal Software Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals located onsite in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Join our team to work in an embedded technology environment to develop software working with real time operating systems for use in flight and mission critical systems. We build complex aircraft systems using the latest technologies including simulation, cloud computing, DevSecOps, and cyber that can rapidly evolve to deliver enhanced capabilities for fielded systems, modernizing in partnership with our customers to meet their most complex missions. Accomplish

In this role you will design, develop, integrate, modify and maintain customized or standardized embedded mission systems applications using software engineering best practices and standards, and participate in the full life-cycle of software development, to include requirements development, modeling and design, application development, unit to CSCI testing, integration, formal system testing, release, installation, and maintenance.

Essential Functions:

• Work in an innovative environment, on significantly diverse assignments, and in collaborative team settings across all levels

• Participate in the full software development life cycle including requirements, design, implementation, qualification, and delivery of software products to our customers

• Architect and develop embedded mission systems software applications on a real time operating system

•Be a part of Agile Scrum teams to develop software products for multiple software baselines

The individual we seek will be self-motivated, proactive, goal-oriented to help us grow our services, become even better at what we do and will possess the following qualifications.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 9 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in STEM with 7 years of related engineering experience, OR a PhD in STEM with 4 years of related engineering experience.

Familiar with DevSecOps methodologies dealing with continuous integration and deployment, automation, and security.

• Familiar with all phases of the software development life cycle and Agile framework as a Product Owner, SCRUM Master, and/or team member.

• Ability developing software and scripts on various programming languages: C, C++, C#, Java, Python, Go, PowerShell, VBScript, Bash, AND/OR KornShell for Safety-Critical applications/Systems.

• Familiar with Architecting and implementing DevSecOps methodologies, CI/CD (build, implementation, integration, test, deployment, cyber, monitoring).

• Familiar with Software Change Control, Change Management, Code Quality, Static Analysis, and CI/CD tools.

• Familiar with one of the following continuous deployment systems: Octopus, ArgoCD, CodeStream, EletricFlow, AWS CodePipeline.

Familiar with one of the following metric tools: Tableau, JasperReport, Crystal Report, Talend, Alteryx, Power BI.

• Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance.

• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to the commencement of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Differentiating characteristics include demonstrated leadership, teamwork capabilities, excellent oral and written communications skills, and strong interpersonal communication skills at all levels of employees and management.

Experience with Agile Software Development, object-oriented architectures, designs, programming, software integration and testing.

Experience with Software Change Control, Change Management, Code Quality, Static Analysis, and CI/CD tools such as: Atlassian tool suite, Jira, GitHub, GitLab, SonarQube, Coverity, AND/OR Jenkins.

Experience Defining, Architecting, Designing, Implementing, Maintaining, and Administrating DevSecOps Solutions for automated collection and reporting metrics.

Experience AND/OR Certification with cloud and container management & security technologies such as: VMWare, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Docker, Redhat OpenShift, Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS), Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, Nomad.

Experience Defining Roadmap, Architecting, Designing, AND/OR Implementing Cyber Remediation and Cyber Compliance (Risk Management Framework - RMF).

Salary Range: $108,900.00 - $160,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
