Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking to add a Sr. Principal Electronics Engineer – Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join our team in Palmdale, CA, El Segundo, CA, or Rancho Bernardo, CA. The candidate should be a self-starter with familiarity working in an Integrated Product Team construct.
A successful candidate will leverage a diverse background encompassing experience in Communications and Payloads Subsystems throughout their entire lifecycle. In this position, breadth of experience across multiple Payloads and Communication Subsystems is more critical than in depth knowledge with any one system.
Roles and Responsibilities will include:
Validate use and business case for engineering change proposals
Work with technical responsible engineers to develop change proposals
Lead project teams across a variety of disciplines and geographic locations from project inception through project completion
Develop project plans addressing cost, schedule and technical objectives
Manage cost, schedule and technical performance of engineering projects
The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility. There is NO remote / hybrid / telework available for this position. Travel up to 10% may be required
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 8 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline, 6 years of related engineering experience.
Prior EVMS or CAM Experience
Experience with Project Planning using MS Project
Experience with Communications or Payloads Subsystems
Must have an active US Government Top-Secret Clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
Ability to obtain and maintain US Government SCI clearance
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current applicable Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
Active USG Top Secret SCI clearance (with a background investigation within the past 5 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
CAM Certified
Cost Basis of Estimate (BoE) Experience
Technical experience across multiple Payload and Communication Subsystems
