About the role

As (Sr.) Principal Characterization Engineer (m/f/d), you will join our talented and ambitious R&D team, directly contributing to our ability to successfully produce Gallium Nitride (GaN) devices.

This is your new job

  • Lead electrical verification strategy, encompassing front-end, back-end and lab testing

  • Coordinate the development and implementation of test methodologies for GaN devices, including both wafer-level and product-level testing

  • Lead test and characterization concepts and implementation initiatives, and propose new test and characterization setups to solve issues, considering all product aspects from design-to-manufacturing to effective cost structure

  • Collaborate closely with device, product, and application engineers to develop test solutions that benefit product development, quality, and customer requirements

  • Own test and characterization concepts and implementation. Solve issues and propose new solutions for test and characterization setups

This is you
  • Masters or Ph.D. degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering  or Solid-State Physics with specific know-how and hands-on experience in semiconductor characterization methods, especially for GaN technology

  • Experience in the test and characterization of high voltage power semiconductor devices, familiarity with Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) desirable but not required

  • Team player with strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset

  • Good communication skills in English (both spoken and written), German a plus
