We’re actively seeking a talented Sr Copilot Studio Engineer II to join our BPM Enablement Platform team in Charlotte, NC or Newport Beach, CA. This role will
work onsite four days per week and enjoy flexible work-from-home options on designated flex days. To further support the employee experience, Pacific Life provides complimentary parking and catered lunch while working in the office.
As a Sr Copilot Studio Engineer II, you’ll provide critical support and leadership for our business partners and other IT teams across all Pacific Life divisions. This is a hands-on developer role for an experienced Copilot Studio expert who can also serve as a consultative partner to business stakeholders. In this role you will lead design and delivery of enterprise-grade Copilot Studio agents and integrations, establish reusable patterns and standards, and help drive responsible adoption aligned to Pacific Life governance and SDLC practices.
How You’ll Help Move Us Forward- Lead design, build, and deployment of Microsoft Copilot Studio agents supporting enterprise business processes and automation use cases.
- Own solution design for complex use cases, including multi-system integrations using Power Automate, APIs, data sources, and enterprise identity patterns.
- Partner with business product owners, process managers, and SMEs to clarify needs, facilitate workshops, and translate requirements into scalable Copilot solutions.
- Communicate effectively with business partners—setting expectations, explaining tradeoffs, and presenting options in business-friendly terms.
- Define and promote reusable prompts, topics, actions, and implementation patterns; contribute to platform standards, documentation, and runbooks.
- Ensure solutions adhere to Pacific Life AI governance, SDLC controls, security, privacy, and risk management practices.
- Develop and execute testing strategies covering functionality, performance, reliability, risk, bias identification, and user experience.
- Provide technical leadership through code reviews, mentoring, and guidance to engineers and citizen developers (as applicable).
- Support adoption through demos, enablement materials, office hours, and stakeholder feedback loops.
- 8+ years of experience in application development, automation, or AI/low-code solution engineering.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio (required).
- Strong experience with Power Platform technologies (Power Automate, Power Apps) and enterprise integrations.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal guidance and act as a resource for colleagues; may lead functional teams or projects.
- Strong communication and relationship skills—able to engage business partners with empathy, clarity, and professionalism.
- Experience working within governed enterprise environments (SDLC, change management, security reviews).
- Strong problem-solving skills and comfort navigating ambiguity across cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience designing copilots with responsible AI considerations (e.g., safety boundaries, grounding, evaluation, and monitoring).
- Experience establishing standards/patterns and driving adoption across multiple teams.
- Experience integrating with AI services and enterprise APIs (e.g., Azure OpenAI, internal services) and supporting production-grade operations.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate working sessions and influence outcomes with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Base Pay Range:
The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
