Job SummaryThe Sr Planner is accountable to produce the Global forecast that represents customer consumption for Transfusion & Cell Therapy (TCT) medical devices. Responsible for globally understanding customer consumption demand, ensuring product availability, service levels, inventory targets in a timely and cost-effective way to ensure continuity of supply for the US market.
Salary Range: $85,000 - $100,000
• Position is eligible to participate in a bonus plan with a target of 6% of the base salary (include only if applicable to the grade level)

Hybrid role: Onsite 3 days per week

Responsibilities

Lead global cross-functional commercial teams to understand Region/Country demand for responsible products (primary focus, but not limited to, on spare parts).   

Direct and facilitate the gathering of business intelligence with key stakeholders for successful implementation of growth initiative driven by new product introduction and/or significant product conversion and/or significant new customer transition.   

Manage consistency of product availability, communicate back orders and potential disruptions in supply chain.   

Develop, maintain and distribute reports on a determined cadence.   

Lead strategic discussions to affect balance sheet items such as excess, slow moving and obsolete inventory with Commercial, Finance and Operational teams.

Develop and drive the execution of product inventory activities with operating groups to achieve consistent product availability, plan service levels, inventory targets in cost effective manner.   

Working with Global and Regional Commercial leadership to manage activities and timing of schedule to strategic allocation of constrained products during disruption such as Act of God, Quality and Supplier issues, and others to minimize customer service disruption.   

Develop and execute on continuous improvement activities that increase effectiveness and efficiencies of business forecasting processes and inventory effectiveness.   

Manage and support critical projects and activities which may include support of business objectives.   

Act as a back-up to other Sr Planners/Manager in all key areas of responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

  • 3 to 5 years Production Planning/Scheduling experience.

  • High level of attention to detail, follow through and results orientation required.

  • High sense of urgency.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to include root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions and follow-up.

  • Ability to develop and, when needed, adjust standard operating procedures (SOPs) workflow to achieve scheduling and inventory management objectives and exceed customer expectations.

  • Ability to interact effectively at multiple levels (across, up, and down) and globally.

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills; ability to effectively present information (formally and informally).

  • Strong computer skills (e.g., SAP, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, IBP, APO).  SAP experience preferred.

  • Willingness to travel and work off shift as needed.
