Job Summary
The Sr. Physician Recruiter is responsible for the strategic recruitment of employed and private practice physicians to meet community needs at the organization’s facilities by utilizing a variety of recruiting resources in support of Memorial Hermann’s provider recruitment process.Job DescriptionMinimum Qualifications

Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
The position requires five (5) or more years experience in physician recruitment, sales, marketing, or physician relations in a health care setting, with a strong knowledge of physician recruitment
Candidates will have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to interact effectively with physicians and colleagues at all levels of the organization and be able to function independently (minimal direct supervision) yet also work effectively as a member of the provider recruitment team
Principal Accountabilities
Collaborates with the Provider Recruitment Team, MH leadership, campus administration and the medical staff to develop and implement a physician sourcing plan to help meet the physician recruitment goals and objectives of the organization while meeting the community need for access to care.
Is involved in the full recruitment cycle of the physician recruitment process through marketing, sourcing, interviewing, preliminary prescreening, site visit coordination, contract negotiations, follow-up and onboarding.
Works collaboratively with the Physician Network Development team and the Provider Recruitment Team in the development of recruitment strategies for identifying ideal candidates for open physician searches.
Reviews, screens, and identifies qualified applicants, interviewing applicants using appropriate techniques and evaluating the work history, education, training, clinical skills, salary expectations and other qualifications of each applicant in relation to requirements of current and future job openings. Follows the organization’s recruitment policies and procedures and performs all recruiting activities within the context of legal, economic and political considerations while maintaining compliance with all national laws and guidelines.
Participates in recruitment events, including but not limited to national conferences, career fairs and physician training programs while continuing to identify opportunities for increased participation and involvement in promoting the organization.
Maintains key working relationships with MH leadership, hospital, clinic and departmental management and various departments such as accounting, finance, legal, travel, vendor management, strategic planning, risk and compliance and others departments actively involved in physician recruitment.
Provides consultative physician recruitment services to internal customers and advises in the development of a recruitment strategy including methods to generate candidate leads, interview processes and interview guidelines.
Actively participates in other recruitment-related and departmental duties as assigned.
Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.
Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff.
