The Role

  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Pega platforms, ensuring best practices are followed and advanced features are utilized effectively.
  • Design and implement system architectures that support complex business requirements while maintaining high standards of performance and security.
  • Conduct advanced Pega and database tuning to ensure systems are optimized for efficiency and scalability.
  • Manage Kubernetes clusters for container orchestration and deployment of Pega applications, ensuring seamless scaling and management of resources.
  • Lead the CI/CD pipeline for Pega development, incorporating automated testing and deployment strategies to accelerate the release process.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure Pega design patterns and frameworks are utilized for optimal system performance.
  • Evaluating merits and risks of patches and upgrades; coordinating with appropriate staff to execute patches to deployed applications; monitoring day-to-day operational health of deployed applications
  • Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and apply necessary changes to application configurations or infrastructure to improve system responsiveness and throughput.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior administrators and support personnel.
  • Stay abreast of the latest Pega features and updates, integrating new solutions to enhance system capabilities and performance.
  • Ensure strict adherence to compliance and security standards within the Pega environment.
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex issues, providing long-term strategic solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure that appropriate system level documentation and knowledge base documentation is created and updated as necessary.
  • Conduct DR drills on a scheduled basis
  • All other duties as assigned

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in systems administration and analysis
  • 7 years of experience in Pega administration with a strong understanding of Pega PRPC architecture.
  • Experience in system architecture design, performance tuning, and optimization of Pega applications.
  • Proficient in database management and tuning, with experience in SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Solid experience with Kubernetes and managing Pega applications in a containerized environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with CI/CD tools and processes in Pega application development.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Pega Certified System Architect (PCSA) or Pega Certified Senior System Architect (PCSSA) preferred.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide teams and manage complex projects.
