Role Overview:

As a Sr. Payroll Support Specialist at Miter, you will play a critical role in addressing one of our most pressing operational challenges: supporting and handling the gnarliest payroll and tax issues. You will serve as a key escalation point for complex payroll correction cases, often involving large amounts of historical payroll data that needs to be just right to achieve tax compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex payroll correction cases, ensuring swift and accurate resolution of YTD data import issues

  • Collaborate with customers, partners, and internal teams to hold others accountable to deadlines and quality standards, and communicate clear expectations and status updates

  • Call on your resources to investigate details around tax compliance & proper payroll handling, always ensuring our customers have the most accurate payroll data & tax configurations

  • Partner with customers in screenshare sessions to hear concerns &  investigate discrepancies

  • Dive deep into payroll data spreadsheets, often utilizing spreadsheets skills to speed up what would normally be pain-stakingly manual data entry

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with any payroll system (bonus points for proficiency in multiple payroll systems)(ex: Gusto, ADP, UKG, etc.)

  • 2+ years experience in payroll processing or support for payroll customers, with a strong understanding of payroll regulations and practices (bonus points for experience with construction payroll)

  • Takehome Assignment- 60 mins

  • Mitosaur 1:1 Interview- 30 min
