Job Description Summary:
Sr. Consultant Payroll is a senior person in payroll whose primary responsibility is strategically applying their payroll expertise to payroll related activities. The individual must demonstrate leadership experience, advising and guiding the payroll operations, compliance, system improvement, and educational activities for all staff members. They will analyze and recommend payroll controls for all tasks necessary to accomplish the organization's payroll processing objectives, including guiding relationships with all individuals in and out of the department. More than 75% of a consultant’s time is spent on independent payroll analysis, strategic planning, decision making, and recommending best practices for outside organizations payroll functions and related services.The Sr. Consultant Payroll has an intimate knowledge of the HCM Payroll system, as well as the Time and Attendance Program, and runs numerous audit reports to identify and resolve errors. Provide support to the Payroll Manager and Sr. Systems Analyst to partner with HRIS, FIS and Business Partners as needed. Must maintain knowledge of governmental and labor regulations to ensure compliance. Regardless of title, this is a subject matter expert in payroll, processes, systems, efficiencies, leadership, and management, the primary task is teaching, educating, directing and leading the activities for other organizations. Must be able to utilize Workday, Kronos Time & Attendance System and have advanced excel skills.
Experience in problem solving methodology and structured process analysis. Critical thinking skills, attention to detail and ability to interpret data elements, analysis skills are a must. Ability to work independently without direction and/or in a group environment. Ability to prioritize and meet appropriate deadlines in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple tasks simultaneously.

Must maintain knowledge of governmental and labor regulations to ensure compliance.Minimum Qualifications:
