The Sr. Payroll Advisor plays a critical role in establishing a sustainable, stable and high-performing Payroll department within the BSO. In this role, you will be essential in building reliable payroll operations for the Americas — contributing your expertise, collaboration and continuous-improvement mindset to ensure quality, efficiency and a strong partnership experience.

Together, we aim to create a department where learning, collaboration and fun are part of everyday life, while delivering consistent, accurate and compliant payroll processes.

Core Responsibilities

To support The LEGO Group with consistent, timely and reliable Payroll processes and ensure efficient payroll maintenance, validation & compliance set up.

Main Challenges:

  • To be part of establishing a payroll department with a great working environment and where quality, learning and performance are keystones for the BSO covering AMERICAS.
  • To form new collaborative relationship with partners and thereby ensure sustainable implementation of the global processes in Payroll.
  • Coping with an exciting and constantly changing environment that includes various ways of working and cultural diversity among partners.
  • Execution of payroll processes for US Company Codes in a timely, efficient and accurate manner, including: -Weekly and special Payrolls for Avg 4,000 employees.
  • Design business rules and perform testing collaborating with the Development Team and Payroll Vendor ensuring proper system functions.
  • Experience across multiple projects' planning, managing the execution and delivery of all phases and testing.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (HR Ops, T&A, Finance, Global Mobility, Benefits) to ensure smooth data flow and resolve cross-functional issues.
  • Building functional process to increase controls and ensure quality in Payroll Process.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps, proposing enhancements and helping standardize practices across Americas.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in accountability or Administration.
  • Proven working experience in Payroll, Labor Relations, HR.
  • Experience with ADP, Workday, KRONOS.
  • Strong hands-on experience in U.S. Payroll is required or deep LATAM payroll experience with strong compliance and high-volume processing exposure is acceptable.
  • Advance Excel skills.
  • Fully Bilingual

  • Define and track KPIs/metrics for payroll performance, quality and controls; use findings to implement corrective actions and improvements
  • Drive ongoing process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce risk and increase automation in payroll operations
  • Lead root-cause analyses when issues occur, and implement permanent solutions (not just fixes)
  • Demonstrate resilience in challenging scenarios (tight deadlines, regulatory changes, system transitions) and maintain high quality under pressure
  • A proactive mind with a can-do attitude.
  • Foster a high-energy, collaborative, fun environment that aligns with The LEGO Group’s culture of quality and playfulness
  • Personal drive and initiative, excellent collaboration skills and demonstrated ability to build trust and credibility with assigned business areas or other key partners.
