Senior Oracle Database Administrator

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator to provide database administration support for business-critical applications in production and non-production environments.

Responsibilities  

• Ensure Database availability.

• Administer Oracle Databases on different operating systems including but not limited to: RHEL and Windows. 

• Install and configure Oracle Server 12c/19c/21c RAC on multi node systems

• Configure and maintain Oracle Cloud Control. 

• Upgrade Oracle database.

• Create a reliable backup strategy. Ensure database backups are appropriately executed Proactively manage and maintain security standards and controls

• Apply Oracle patches that involve security patches / bug fixes in non-production and production environments.

• Ability to Implement Security measures include SSL and encryption. 

• Develop and support database maintenance scripts. 

• Develop and maintain database design and support documentation.

• Ability to configure Active Data guard and automatic failover using Data guard Broker.

• Ability to configure container and pluggable databases

• Provide 24x7 on-call support.

Requirements  

• Oracle Database Administration Professional with more than 5 yr experience in Oracle 19c 

• Experience with Oracle Cloud Control 13c or later

• Operating system experience in Linux

• 3 yr experience with Oracle Golden Gate

• 3 yr experience with administration of Oracle RAC

• Oracle management tools (Data Guard, Active Data Guard, RMAN, Data Loader)

• Experience with administrating database on Exadata and Azure

• Oracle Partitioning. 

• Strong unix scripting

• Good problem solver.

• Excellent communication skills, Self-starter, ability to work in a team as well as take individual responsibility.

Preferred Qualifications 

• Database Administrator experience with PostgreSQL
• Experience with administering MongoDB
• Oracle certified Professional

In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. In addition, Conduent provides a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) or vacation and/or sick time. The estimated salary range for this role is $69,300 - $90,000
