We have an opportunity for a Sr Operations & Enablement Communication Specialist to join us at Honeywell, in Bucharest, where you will be reporting to the Creative and Editorial COE Lead. This is an extraordinary opportunity for a poised and savvy communications professional who wants to help shape the future.

This role serves as the operational backbone and scalability engine for the COE, ensuring smooth intake processes, efficient workflow management and technology enablement. This role will help drive the COE's "scale through enablement" outcome by managing the COE's tech stack, building self-service tools and templates, and optimizing processes that help communicators work smarter and faster. This role partners closely with the COE Leader to strengthen operational excellence and ensure the team can deliver quality at scale.

The ideal candidate will be a confident, independent communications professional with a minimum of 5 years of experience in communications operations, project management or related fields. A corporate or agency background is a plus, especially with a proven track record of building scalable processes and enabling teams through technology and tools. This individual should have outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills, a keen interest in understanding the business, a strong orientation toward process improvement, and the ability to influence partners and clients in a highly matrixed corporate environment. Mastery of project management tools and content management systems is required.

This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office and 2 days work from home model.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the COE's intake process, ensuring all requests are captured, prioritized and routed efficiently through established workflows and service-level agreements.
  • Oversee project tracking, resource allocation and capacity planning to ensure the COE operates efficiently and meets commitments to stakeholders.
  • Manage the COE's tech stack, including project management tools, content management systems, template libraries and collaboration platforms.
  • Champion AI to support the Brand and Communications team’s efficiency and effectiveness. 
  • Develop self-service resources, toolkits and templates that enable employees and communicators to create quality content independently while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures and training materials that strengthen operational excellence.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions that enhance speed, quality and scalability.
  • Support measurement and reporting on COE performance, service levels and operational metrics.
  • Partner with the COE Leader on strategic planning, resource planning and team operations.
  • Serve as liaison between the COE and key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication about processes, timelines and expectations.
  • Support enterprise-wide initiatives including the Good Day Honeywell newsletter production workflow, content planning calendars and campaign execution.
  • Stay current on emerging tools, AI capabilities and best practices that strengthen communications operations.
  • Coach communicators on how to effectively use COE resources, tools and processes.


Key skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree 
  • Minimum 5+ years of demonstrated successful experience in communications operations, project management or related fields, especially in a corporate or agency environment
  • Strong English skills
  • The ability to drive operational excellence, working independently and as part of a team
  • Outstanding organizational and project management skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities and workflows simultaneously
  • Strong systems thinking and process optimization capabilities
  • Mastery of project management tools (Asana, Monday.com, Jira) and content management systems
  • Experience building scalable templates, toolkits and self-service resources that enable teams
  • A highly organized and detail-oriented mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities
  • A willingness to challenge the status quo, think creatively and take intelligent risks in strengthening operational efficiency
  • Intimate understanding of digital communications channels and platforms including intranets, social platforms and collaboration tools
  • Experience with AI-powered productivity tools and a passion for leveraging technology to enhance team effectiveness
  • The ability to provide strategic operations counsel and assist in developing scalable processes that drive results
  • An extraordinary ability to work productively with executives, clients and partners at all levels
  • The ability to handle pressures and demands from multiple clients and competing priorities
  • Strong communication skills with ability to explain complex processes clearly to varied audiences
  • Change management experience and ability to drive adoption of new tools and processes
