Overview:
The Operations Analyst Sr. is responsible for and will oversee the development and analysis of complex organizational plans and metrics designed to identify, manage, and direct critical resources. This position plays a pivotal role in shaping current mission strategies and priorities to support the SOCOM Information Environment (SIE) and broader SOCOM operations. As a senior leader, the analyst will advise on, develop, and integrate IT best practices directly into the current IT environment to drive continuous opportunities for operational improvement.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee the formulation, evaluation, and comprehensive analysis of organizational plans to ensure alignment with evolving SIE mission strategies and priorities.
- Provide leadership in identifying, allocating, and managing human, technical, and financial resources across complex SOCOM operational initiatives.
- Design, implement, and track high-level organizational metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure enterprise efficiency and mission success.
- Act as a principal advisor to develop and directly integrate advanced IT industry best practices into the current IT infrastructure to optimize performance.
- Lead the identification of operational gaps or inefficiencies within the existing environment and engineer sustainable, modern process improvements.
- Collaborate closely with and advise senior government stakeholders and SOCOM leadership on strategic resource management and technical modernization efforts.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- While this role may not have formal direct reports, the Operations Analyst Sr. provides senior-level oversight, direction, and mentorship to team members on operational planning, metrics development, and process integration techniques.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or experience in lieu of formal education.
- Relevant professional experience, specifically the performance of operational and strategic planning functions.
- Extensive senior-level experience in IT environment planning or military operations support is highly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proven ability to oversee large-scale organizational plans and align technical resources with high-priority defense mission strategies.
- Strong working knowledge of enterprise IT environments, systems architecture, and the execution of industry best practices (e.g., ITIL, ITSM).
- Exceptional capability to architect performance metrics frameworks and translate data trends into strategic, actionable directives.
- Confident presence with the ability to advise senior military and civilian leadership on complex technical and operational decisions.
- Superior analytical skills required to dissect current-state enterprise operations and introduce innovative, streamlined solutions.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Advanced certifications such as PMP, ITIL Expert, or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt are a plus but not required.
Security Clearance:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be eligible for and able to obtain and maintain required security clearance/access approvals.
