As a Senior Lead Data Strategy and Business Insights, you will play a crucial role in driving business transformation through data-driven insights, automation development, and strategic consulting. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support internal consulting projects, pre-sales initiatives, and process optimization within Coupa's Value Excellence Center (VEC). Your expertise in advanced data analysis, automation, and financial modeling will help create impactful business strategies that benefit both Coupa and its global customer base.

What you will do:

• Data-Driven Insights: Analyze internal and customer data to uncover actionable insights that drive value and improve outcomes. Utilize statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and data mining to inform business decisions across sales, marketing, product, and customer success functions.
• Automation Development: Design and implement Python-based automation tools tostreamline data processing, analysis, and reporting. Automate workflows to scale the Value Excellence Center’s operations and enhance efficiency.
• Consulting & Strategy: Lead internal consulting initiatives by identifying strategic opportunities and challenges. Participate in thought leadership initiatives, including publishing white papers, creating webinars, and contributing to industry events.
• Financial Modeling & Benchmarking: Build and refine financial models to inform business planning and strategies. Support benchmarking efforts to analyze customer performance and provide competitive insights.
• Project Management: Lead multiple consulting projects by creating and managing detailed project plans. Ensure timely delivery of results while managing stakeholder expectations and addressing challenges proactively.
• Data Visualization & Storytelling: Develop insightful visualizations using tools like Tableau, Metabase, Looker, and Power BI. Translate complex data insights into compelling presentations for technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executive leadership.
• Automation & Data Solutions: Work closely with various teams to translate business needs into automated data solutions. Provide actionable insights by creating efficient, scalable data pipelines.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify process inefficiencies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the VEC by implementing best practices and data-driven solutions.

What you will bring to Coupa:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in data analysis, business strategy, consulting, development, or a related role.
• Proficient in Python, automation development, SQL, Metabase, Tableau, Excel, PowerPoint, and version control tools (Git, GitHub).
• Experience with Looker, Power BI, and other data visualization tools
• Strong understanding of automation development and statistical analysis techniques.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executives.
• Proven project management skills with a track record of leading successful data-driven projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate across global teams and adapt strategies to meet market-specific needs.
