What You’ll Do
This position is responsible for planning, designing, implementing, maintaining and monitoring the network infrastructure and enterprise network solutions. A strong working familiarity with Cisco products is required, with hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, installing, analyzing capacity issues and administering routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, IP management and load balancers. We also use Microsoft Azure and familiarity with it from a network perspective is required. Work is performed in a team environment, with frequent evaluation from and under close supervision of the Manager – Network & Voice.
- Design, implement and support company LANs, WANs, and wireless networks.
- Research, analyze, and recommend software or hardware modifications to rectify network deficiencies or enhance performance.
- Engage in projects aimed at continually improving or upgrading network infrastructures.
- Regularly liaise with technical and business staff from vendors and internal teams
- Act as a technical resource on a functional basis for resolving complex network issues.
- Analyze network activity and problems to identify and prevent systemic errors.
- Assess and recommend network design changes or enhancements to improve system availability and performance.
- Provide management with network planning recommendations.
- Document procedures and keep network diagrams and related materials current.
- Familiarity with commercial enterprise-level tools and products for network services, including Web filtering, DNS, DHCP and VPN
- Occasionally required to work beyond regular hours such as nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Create documentation relating to networking support and best practices as required.
- Perform various technology-related tasks assigned by the Manager – Network & Voice.
- Complete all tasks within the assigned schedule and budget while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Provide periodic and accurate feedback on assignment status.
- Identify and communicate issues that affect progress to the Networking Team.
- Resolve or seek resolution for problems through peers, immediate manager, or other Operations personnel.
- Follow established standards and procedures for work assignments.
- Update and maintain detailed information and documents relevant to assignments.
- Maintain a positive attitude, high level of communication, and cordial relations to foster teamwork.
- Resolve requests or change orders promptly.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or IT-focused field or equivalent experience
- 5 + years’ experience in routing, switching, wireless, firewalls, VLAN, VPN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Monitoring tools and network topologies.
- Proficient in the following protocols: OSFP, BGP, HSRP, and VPN.
- Strong understanding of WAN Technologies including MPLS, SD-WAN Ethernet and broadband
- Strong understanding of advanced network principles and internet architecture
- Knowledge and experience with Fortigate firewalls.
- Knowledge and experience of Cato SD-WAN
- Knowledge and experience of networking in Microsoft Azure
- Possess a positive and proactive attitude towards customer support and a desire to help people.
- Problem solver: able to think independently and develop quick, sound solutions to complex problems while demonstrating a sense of urgency.
- Candidate should have a track record of excellent teamwork, written verbal communications, project management, and process.
- Ability to occasionally work weekends and/or off hours as necessary to meet business needs with occasional travel.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
- Ability to effectively multitask and balance priorities.
- Highly disciplined and able to work independently and without direct supervision.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

Salary Range: $125,000 - $130,000
