Job Description:

The Senior Network Operations Control Training (Sr NOC Trng) and Standards Program Manager provides Leadership and guidance in the daily duties of all phases of Dispatch Training and Standards, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and internal policies. They’ll develop and maintain training programs, including initial, recurrent, and advanced instruction, while also assisting in setting minimum performance standards for NOC personnel. The Sr NOC Trng & Standards Program Manager is an excellent communicator and problem-solver, ready to support various NOC Teams with training materials and programs that meet Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Southwest Airlines requirements.

Responsibilities
Prepare and obtain FAA approval for the Dispatcher training program including basic, initial, and recurrent
Instruct and/or monitor all instruction for Dispatch training sessions including competency and proficiency checks
Develop training programs and methods for enhancement of Dispatch Training
Maintain records and information as required for FARs
Assist in the development of standards and procedures for the Flight Dispatch Department
Maintain and update the Dispatch Operating Manual
Create Read before Dispatch and Training Topic documents
Provide guidance in the daily operation of the Flight Dispatch Department and represent the NOC in cross-departmental meetings affecting the NOC and Dispatch
Create and deliver presentations
Must be able to meet any physical ability requirements listed on this description
May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
In-depth knowledge of Southwest Airlines Dispatch
Skilled in written and oral communication

Education
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
Expert level experience, expansive and far-reaching knowledge of:Dispatch experience at a 14 CFR 121 Carrier
- Preferred: Knowledge and/or experience with Dispatch training
Licensing/Certification
Must be a licensed Aircraft Dispatcher under Federal Guidelines
Physical Abilities
Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Other Qualifications
Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
Must be available to work varying and extended hours as needed
Must meet all regulatory criteria to obtain and maintain Flight Deck Jump Seat access; this position requires successful and continuous enrollment in Rap Back
Pay & Benefits:
- Competitive market salary from $122,200.00 per year to $135,800.00 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
