Job Summary:
BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support our growing network infrastructure. This role requires strong technical expertise, advanced problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead technical tasks within network initiatives while ensuring high availability, performance, and security across all systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage enterprise-level network solutions (LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN).
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime and reliability.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and SOPs.
- Perform root cause analysis for network outages and implement preventive measures.
- Act as remote hands for all IT activities in Reston, VA Data Center.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise networks.
- Proven expertise in:
- Fortinet SD-WAN design and deployment.
- Aruba LAN, WiFi design and deployment.
- Data Center network operations, and routing/switching (Cisco/Aruba/Fortinet).
- Cloud connectivity (VPN, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), firewall configurations, and network monitoring tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects from design through implementation.
- Proven expertise in troubleshooting complex network issues and implementing solutions,
- Relevant certifications such as Fortinet NSE 4–7, Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP), CCNP, or AWS/Azure networking certifications preferred.
Work Environment
- Around 25% travel within US.
- Require on-call rotation for critical issues
