The RoleAspenTech is seeking to hire a Senior Network Engineer onto our IT infrastructure & Operations in Team. In addition to supporting day-to-day network operations, the ideal candidate will play a critical role in helping AspenTech further define our network strategy across our global organization. At AspenTech, we view our network as an asset that offers end-to-end functionality coupled with centralized control that enables business agility.
Your Impact
- Responsible for day-to-day support and advancement of our global network infrastructure. This includes areas such as: Routing and Switching, WAN technologies such as SD-WAN, MPLS VPN, IPsec VPN, WAN optimization technologies, Remote Access VPN, Wireless, Firewalls, including Web Application Firewalls, Cloud Networking, Network Management, Monitoring, Alerting and Logging.
- Troubleshooting end user Microsoft Teams voice basic connectivity and configuration network issues.
- Lead small projects or multi-task efforts that may include other providers.
- Research and develop standards for architecture and engineering to be used by other IT support groups.
- Contribute to roadmap, architectural direction, and continuous improvement.
- Document technical engineering procedures for use by other members of the IT Infrastructure team utilizing the Engineer Design document.
- Be responsible for monitoring network utilization and performance.
- Troubleshoot and escalate appropriately upon network incidents.
- Proactively communicate about opportunities, expectations, timelines, risks, and issues.
- Performs knowledge transfer to other members of the IT Infrastructure Team.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in the technical area.
- Holding CCNA or CCNP certification will be considered an advantage.
- Experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Experience working in a Microsoft M365 environment.
- Experience managing SD-WAN solution in a Global deployment (SilverPeak).
- Azure / Cloud advanced routing experience a plus.
- Experience managing Palo Alto firewalls.
