What we’re looking for:

The Senior Manager for North America Operations Procurement at Indovinya will lead the Procurement team in delivering high-value, best-in-class support to complex chemical manufacturing plants, research facilities, and corporate offices in US and Mexico. This role oversees the Indirects Procurement team and coordinates Global Business Support (GBS) resources to support site procurement leads. The manager will ensure seamless support across all North American plants and facilities, while delivering critical performance and Total Procurement Value (TPV) targets. Responsibilities include implementing world-class processes and tools, coaching the team, promoting professional growth, and ensuring effective cross-site collaboration within Operations Procurement, Category Management, Procurement Excellence, and extended business stakeholder networks.

What will be expected from you?

  • Serve as the key procurement focal point for the manufacturing organization and other business functions.
  • Drive team professional growth, elevate procurement performance, and maximize TPV.
  • Lead the evaluation of existing contract relationships to identify savings, risk mitigation strategies, and commercial term enhancements.
  • Coach team members in contracting, commercial tenders, supplier onboarding, and performance management.
  • Coordinate implementation of Category Management strategies across Indovinya sites.
  • Develop and manage influential relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate sourcing events, manage supplier communications, and support supplier negotiations and management.
  • Engage and influence key internal stakeholders to identify commercial leverage opportunities and mitigate supply risks.
  • Monitor suppliers and external markets to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Purchase materials and services considering safety, quality, reliability, and schedule urgency.
  • Use SAP to manage supplier agreements, pricing, and commodity analytics.
  • Evaluate and implement improvements to Procurement, Contract Management, Master Data, and other key processes.
  • Leads operational buying team members and deploys effective performance management measurement tools and improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrate highly effective team building and leadership skills.
  • Deliver Global Shared Service Center implementation and ensure long-term sustainability.

What are we looking for in the Ideal Candidate?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or equivalent work experience in a manufacturing or chemical environment.
  • Professional certification (CPSM, CIPS, or equivalent) highly desirable.
  • Advanced degree (MBA, Masters) preferred.
  • 5+ years of professional supervisory experience.
  • 10+ years of work experience in Procurement/Category Management in the Petrochemicals Industry, Process Manufacturing, or similar
  • Understanding of commercial framework agreements and contracts.
  • Effective communication and influencing skills.
  • Ability to inspire team members, colleagues, and suppliers.
  • Self-motivated with attention to detail, prioritization, and deadlines.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Experience in Category Management Process and strategic sourcing processes.
  • Supplier Performance & Relationship Management (SPM/SRM) including implementation of structured programs with performance scorecards.
  • Operational risk assessment and mitigation planning in complex manufacturing.
  • Knowledge in business needs assessment, market analysis, financial analysis, cost modeling, and supply chain analysis.
  • Leverages market intelligence to evaluate, negotiate, and manage price fluctuations.
  • Manages supply chain risk by ensuring appropriate business continuity plans are in place to avoid capacity issues and plant shut-downs.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, and planning skills.
  • Experience in industrial services sourcing, including Turnarounds, Construction/Engineering Services, Capital Projects, and Plant Maintenance Services.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, Internet applications, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with digital sourcing and contract management platforms (e.g., GEP, Jaeger, Ariba, Coupa).
  • Proficiency in SAP S4/HANA or equivalent.

Skills Required
