About the role : Manager Cloud Test
Aviatrix is looking for a motivated Manager Cloud Test Engineer to join our Bengaluru team and help ensure the quality, reliability, and scalability of our cloud networking and security products. In this role, you will work closely with engineering and product teams to validate new and existing features, execute test plans, identify issues, and contribute to improving product quality across cloud environments.
Position Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of QA engineers and technical leads, providing mentorship, coaching, and career development.
- Define and execute the overall QA strategy, including functional, integration, system, performance, and automation testing.
- Drive quality initiatives across the software development lifecycle and establish quality gates for product releases.
- Partner closely with Development, Product Management, and Program teams to ensure high-quality and predictable releases.
- Build and enhance automation frameworks and improve test coverage, execution efficiency, and release confidence.
- Establish quality metrics and dashboards, including defect trends, escape rates, automation coverage, and release readiness metrics.
- Lead defect triage, risk assessments, and root cause analysis to continuously improve product quality.
- Drive continuous improvements in QA processes, tools, CI/CD practices, and engineering productivity.
- Ensure effective test planning, resource allocation, and project execution across multiple concurrent releases.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, operational excellence, and continuous learning within the QA organization.
- Collaborate with geographically distributed teams and stakeholders to align quality goals and execution strategies.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and scaling of high-performing QA teams in India.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, with significant experience in cloud networking, cloud infrastructure, or enterprise software domains.
- Minimum 3–5 years of people management experience leading QA teams and driving large-scale quality initiatives.
- Proven experience in defining QA strategies and successfully delivering high-quality enterprise software releases.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test automation frameworks, and quality engineering best practices.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in fast-paced environments.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and automation pipeline development.
- Strong experience in networking technologies including:
- TCP/IP, Routing & Switching
- BGP, IPSec, VPN, NAT
- Cloud networking and security concepts
- Experience working with one or more cloud platforms:
- AWS
- Microsoft Azure
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
- Alibaba Cloud
- Experience with automation technologies using Python and/or Go.
- Experience building and scaling automation-first QA organizations.
- Experience with observability, distributed systems, microservices testing, and cloud-native architectures is highly desirable.
- Exposure to AI-driven testing, test orchestration, and engineering productivity initiatives will be an added advantage.

Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years in cloud networking, QA, or network engineering
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI networking (VPC, Transit Gateway, BGP, VPN)
- Familiarity with IPsec, BGP, routing protocols, and firewall appliances
- Python-based test automation experience (pytest)
- Strong Linux experience and command-line proficiency
- Experience with network performance testing tools like iperf/ethr
