The Role

Essential Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Revenue Impact

● Lead global content strategy across multi-million dollar marketing campaigns targeting US, UK, and Australian markets with direct accountability for conversion rate optimization and revenue attribution

● Manage and optimize the complete customer acquisition funnel from awareness through booking, implementing A/B testing and performance analytics to drive measurable ROI improvements

● Develop and execute brand positioning strategies that differentiate Virgin Voyages in the competitive cruise market, conducting competitive analysis and market research to inform strategic decisions

● Drive cross-functional collaboration with C-suite executives, presenting strategic recommendations and campaign performance metrics to senior leadership and board members

Advanced Marketing & Technology Integration

● Leverage advanced AI and marketing automation tools to scale content production, implement predictive analytics for customer behavior, and optimize multi-channel marketing workflows

● Conduct sophisticated audience segmentation and persona development using data analytics to identify high-value customer segments and optimize lifetime value across different markets

● Implement conversion rate optimization (CRO) strategies through advanced testing methodologies, user experience optimization, and personalization engines

Team Leadership & Development

● Lead and mentor creative teams including copywriters, designers, and junior strategists, providing strategic direction and professional development while maintaining brand consistency across all outputs

● Establish content governance frameworks and editorial standards that ensure brand compliance while enabling creative innovation and efficient workflow management

● Manage agency relationships and vendor partnerships for specialized creative services, negotiating contracts and ensuring deliverable quality meets strategic objectives

Performance Management & Analytics

● Develop and track KPIs for all content initiatives with regular reporting on campaign performance, customer engagement metrics, and revenue attribution across all marketing channels

● Create comprehensive project management systems for multi-channel campaigns, managing budgets, timelines, and resource allocation while ensuring on-time delivery of strategic initiatives

● Conduct regular competitive analysis and market research to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and opportunities for strategic positioning in the luxury travel market

Qualifications:

Required Experience & Education

● 7-10 years of progressive marketing strategy experience with demonstrated success in brand management, content marketing, and customer acquisition in premium/luxury markets

● Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (Master's degree preferred)

● Proven track record of managing multi-million dollar marketing budgets with demonstrable ROI and revenue growth achievements

● Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with C-suite executives on strategic initiatives

Specialized Skills & Expertise

● Advanced proficiency in marketing technology stack including CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics), and AI-powered content tools

● Deep expertise in conversion optimization with experience in A/B testing, user experience design, and customer journey mapping

● Strong financial acumen with ability to analyze campaign ROI, customer acquisition costs, and lifetime value metrics

● Premium brand experience preferably in travel, hospitality, or luxury goods sectors

● Global market expertise with understanding of cultural nuances and regulatory requirements across US, UK, and Australian markets

Leadership & Communication

● Exceptional presentation skills with experience presenting to executive leadership and board members

● Proven ability to influence and drive consensus across diverse stakeholder groups and cross-functional teams

● Strategic thinking capabilities with experience developing long-term brand strategies and market positioning

● Change management experience with ability to lead organizational transformation and process optimization

Additional Qualifications

● Professional certifications in Google Analytics, HubSpot, or similar marketing platforms preferred

● Travel industry expertise with knowledge of cruise operations, destination marketing, and travel agent relationships

● Startup/scale-up experience with ability to work in fast-paced, resource-constrained environments while maintaining high standards
