The Sr. Market Strategist, Renewable Services position supports the Renewable Services department in providing business leadership for PJM Environmental Information Services, Inc. (PJM EIS), which administers the Generation Attribute Tracking System (GATS).
This position also provides technical and business support to the Market Services division and the PJM membership in addressing PJM markets issues related to variable energy resources such as solar, wind and storage resources. This position provides technical expertise to the Market Services division related to state and federal renewable energy and environmental regulations and their potential impacts to PJM.
Essential Functions:
- Manage the day-to-day operation of GATS.
- Supervise GATS customer hotline staff, including scheduling their daily assignments.
- Coordinate the design, testing, and implementation of all software fixes and enhancements to PJM EIS systems.
- Lead periodic meetings of the GATS stakeholder groups (both subscribers and state agencies).
- Develop and maintain documentation and customer training materials for PJM EIS.
- Coordinate outreach and manage relationships with state regulatory personnel responsible for renewable energy programs.
- Perform data analyses and reporting to support regulatory, customer, and internal information requests.
- Proactively identify and suggest innovative solutions to business problems.
Characteristics and Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent work experience
- 0-5 years of experience SQL and Data Research
- Ability to apply economic and statistical theory to complex market problems
- Ability to produce high-quality work products with attention to detail
- Ability to visualize and solve complex problems
- Ability to apply analytical and mathematical solutions
- Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Ability to speak and present publicly

Experience with PJM operations, markets, and planning functions
