Overview:
We are looking for a high-energy, analytical, and strategic Senior Market Development Representative to spearhead Ethoca's expansion into North America's top merchants. As a Senior BDR, you will be the engine of our regional growth, responsible for identifying, qualifying, and creating high-value opportunities within the merchant ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Prospecting: Execute outbound multi-channel campaigns (email, phone, social, and networking) targeting Tier 1 and Tier 2 merchants across the United States and Canada.
Pipeline Generation: Qualify inbound leads and proactively hunt for new business to maintain a robust pipeline for the Regional Sales Executives.
Market Insight: Act as a subject matter expert on North America's payments landscape, understanding regional nuances in fraud trends and merchant pain points.
Solution Selling: Effectively communicate the value proposition of our chargeback-prevention and consumer-experience solutions to stakeholders across Finance, Fraud, and Digital Operations.
CRM Excellence: Maintain meticulous records in Salesforce, ensuring all activity, account mapping, and deal stages are accurately tracked.
Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing to refine regional messaging and with Sales Operations to optimize lead-to-opportunity conversion.
All About You:
Bachelor's Degree Required
"Can do" and positive attitude to effect change, open and creative mindset; comfortable with uncertainty, changing and fast paced environment.
In-depth knowledge / experience using all relevant tools to source and prospect (LinkedIn Sales Nav, Zoominfo, Outreach.io, Gong, etc.)
Technology and/or Payments Industry experience preferred
Excellent oral and written communication, negotiation, sales acumen, product management, project management, leading and influencing others cross functional team members, and technology application skills are critical
Required Skills and Experience:
Experience in a Sales/Lead Generation (ideally selling software or software-as-a-service)
Experience selling into enterprise accounts
Determined personality and driven by results
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong listening skills
Salesforce experience

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more. Austin, Texas: $95,000 - $152,000 USD
