Job Description

The Senior Manager of Global Optimization will support a strategic initiative to provide market-leading payments performance for key Global Acceptance Solutions customers and prospects.

In collaboration with various global stakeholders, including sales leadership, account executives and technical account managers, this role will partner with some of the largest merchants and partner/acquirers in the world to maximize their approval rates. The role will use data, analytics and core subject matter expertise to drive additional value to our customers’ payment programs driving conversion and revenue. Your primary focus will be creating deep dive analyses, presentations and leading customer engagements. Through this work, you’ll make recommendations involving configuration changes as well as recommending aligned products and services. As a subject matter expert within our business, you’ll also mentor other optimization analysts, share and document your knowledge and support the increased automation of optimization insights.

The successful candidate is a strong leader with a robust and deep understanding of the digital payments ecosystem and the digital user experience in today’s modern digital environment.  They are a collaborative team partner with the ability to drive influence within the broader organization with a diverse range of internal partners and external cross functional stakeholders. They are a high energy, results-oriented and motivated individual who will function well within a global, matrix organization at high pace. Experience with transaction authorization data and payments optimization is strongly preferred. 

The role reports to the General Manager, Global Network & Optimization Solutions.

Requirements

  • Produce high-impact customer presentations by gathering and synthesizing data and insights from a variety of sources

  • Define and scale global best practices and frameworks for client conversion optimisation across markets. Identify data-driven strategies that combine market insights to improve checkout conversion and authorization performance.

  • Enable global sales engineering and sales teams through structured workshops, learning materials, and trend analysis.

  • Partner with regional sales leaders to deploy GTM strategies that drive client acquisition, retention, and VAS portfolio growth.

  • Follow through engagements to ensure implementation and adoption of recommendations.

  • Build tools and assets to support sales execution, while continuously reviewing decline drivers and industry trends.

  • Champion payment optimisation through strategic communications, client engagements, and ecosystem events.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
  • Strong quantitative skills with the ability to extract actionable insights from large, diverse data sets and translate them into business impact.
  • Customer-facing experience such as in a consultative or strategic sales role.
  • Proven leadership in scaling best practices and driving sales growth through strategic programme execution.
  • Deep domain expertise in the digital payments ecosystem, including conversion optimisation, consumer authentication, and tokenisation protocols.
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional change initiatives across global, matrixed organisations.
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement and influence across commercial, product, marketing, and support teams to build client-centric solutions.
  • Strategic thinker with a sharp understanding of market trends, operational metrics, and the balance between revenue growth and risk mitigation.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 152,200.00 to 220,850.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
