Job Description

Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA), is the consulting arm of Visa with a simple mission of helping partners improve their performance and profitability. We are a global team of industry experts with decades of experience in the payments industry.

Within VCA we have a dedicated service line – Visa Managed Services (VMS) with specialized experts who are routinely embedded into clients around the world to offer hands-on execution support. From our collective experience we have amassed an extensive set of best practices we leverage to help partners manage customer relationships, portfolio levers and product development.

The Visa Consulting and Analytics team is looking for a high-performance individual to join our Visa Managed Services practice and play a key role in developing and delivering high impact projects across the Andean region. The potential candidate will proactively engage with Visa Partners and act on their behalf to enable sustainable and profitable growth ensuring that Visa is both, the preferred brand, and a strategic business partner. This role will design, implement, and manage end to end programs by combining Visa’s data assets, proprietary analytical solutions, cutting edge digital platforms, operational capabilities, best practices, and partnerships. It will also shape frameworks, design methodologies, build processes and develop any operational enablement required to drive payment volume, revenue growth and efficiencies on behalf of our partners.

Specific duties and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Understand our customers’ business objectives, needs, plans, and bring valuable insights 
  • Identify opportunities and potential for improvement to help Visa clients in growing their business
  • Develop and propose appropriate strategies and business solutions to the clients and manage the delivery of high-quality consultancy engagements in the Andean sub region
  • Management of internal and external project team members, gain consensus with others and coordinate a team of consultants and subject matter experts around goal 
  • Focus on successful delivery of complex projects

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
•Senior level demonstrated experience in strategy / management consulting, with proven project deliveries and expertise in consulting methodologies
•6 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters or MBA)
•Excellent analytical skill set, ability to frame customer’s opportunity in financial terms, and provide recommendations
•Exposure to retail banking and/or payment card industry and/or merchant retail business. Knowledge of payments in general, loyalty, co-branding, digital marketing, security and risk management
•Process improvement methodologies and implementation is desirable.
•Innovation and/or big data and analytics (preferred but not required)
•Project management skills are a key requirement given that this role involves managing multiple projects with multiple stakeholders simultaneously, with proven problem-solving skills
•Comprehensive knowledge of data analytics methodologies and tools and the use of data insights for business growth.
•Excellent client relationship management skills and ability to develop a credible point of view on a variety of industry topics, acting as a trusted advisor and show thought leadership
•Proactive self-starter seeking initiatives to advance
•Excellent presentation and communication skills (written and verbal)
•Experience working with data and analytical tools (Excel, SAS, SQL, Tableau, R, Python, SPSS) is a plus
•PM Certification and/or Scrum Master are a plus
•Fluent in English (written & verbal), and ability to travel
•MBA or relevant graduate degree
