Job Description:

This is a duration based role that will last 18 months.

The Technical Product Owner, Knowledge and Content for Global Corporate Affairs is responsible for defining, prioritizing, and delivering technology capabilities that enable GCA teams to create, manage, discover, govern, and reuse knowledge and content effectively. This role will advance modern knowledge management, enterprise content management, workflow, search, taxonomy, metadata, and AI-enabled content capabilities that support a more connected, efficient, and insight-driven GCA organization.

Reporting to the Product Group Leader, Global Corporate Affairs Technology, this leader will partner closely with GCA business stakeholders, Corporate Business Technology, enterprise platform teams, Legal, Privacy, Security, Records Management, Procurement, and external vendors to translate business needs into product strategies, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.

The successful candidate will bring strong product ownership, stakeholder engagement, content lifecycle, knowledge management, and agile delivery experience, with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on execution in a highly matrixed enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and backlog for GCA knowledge and content capabilities, ensuring alignment to Global Corporate Affairs priorities and enterprise technology standards. Working in partnership with Corporate Business Technology’s Data and Insights Chapter.
  • Translate business needs into clear product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, release plans, and measurable success metrics.
  • Partner with GCA stakeholders across communications, public affairs, media relations, brand, employee engagement, government affairs, and enterprise functions to improve content creation, collaboration, governance, discovery, reuse, and lifecycle management.
  • Lead delivery of knowledge management and enterprise content management capabilities, including taxonomy, metadata, search, content workflows, archiving, retention, permissions, analytics, and governance processes.
  • Identify opportunities to apply generative AI, Microsoft Copilot, intelligent search, automation, and content intelligence to improve productivity, decision-making, content quality, and knowledge reuse across GCA.
  • Ensure products and platforms comply with J&J standards for security, privacy, records management, accessibility, data governance, responsible AI, and risk management.
  • Collaborate with engineering, architecture, UX, data, platform, and vendor teams to deliver scalable, reliable, user-centered solutions.
  • Manage product ceremonies, sprint planning, prioritization, stakeholder reviews, demos, testing, release readiness, change management, and adoption activities.
  • Define and monitor OKRs, adoption metrics, product health, user satisfaction, operational performance, risk reduction, and value realization for knowledge and content products.
  • Support modernization, rationalization, and simplification of the GCA content and knowledge technology ecosystem.
  • Champion a product mindset, continuous improvement, customer empathy, inclusion, collaboration, and learning across GCA Technology and business partner teams.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in technology, product ownership, product management, knowledge management, enterprise content management, digital transformation, communications technology, or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience serving as a Product Owner or Product Manager in an agile product operating model, including backlog management, roadmap planning, release delivery, and value measurement.
  • Experience delivering enterprise knowledge management, content management, collaboration, workflow, search, taxonomy, metadata, records, or digital workplace solutions.
  • Strong understanding of content lifecycle management, information architecture, content governance, permissions, retention, findability, reuse, and user adoption practices.
  • Practical experience translating business needs into product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, prioritization decisions, and measurable outcomes.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Viva, Microsoft Copilot, enterprise search, workflow automation, analytics, and AI-enabled productivity capabilities preferred.
  • Awareness of responsible AI, data privacy, information security, records management, accessibility, and compliance requirements in a regulated enterprise environment.
  • Proven ability to influence across business, technology, vendor, and governance teams without direct authority.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Communications, Knowledge Management, Library/Information Science, Data Science, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Product owner, agile, knowledge management, content strategy, Microsoft, AI, data governance, records management, or continuous improvement certifications preferred, including CSPO, PSPO, SAFe POPM, KCS, PMP, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, Lean Six Sigma, Responsible AI, AI Governance, or Data Ethics.
