Iron Mountain is seeking an experienced and analytical Senior Manager of Technical Accounting to join our Global Controllership team.
In this role, you will be responsible for addressing and driving emerging technical accounting issues, leading the global adoption of new accounting standards, and ensuring the absolute integrity of our quarterly and annual financial reporting processes.
You will partner closely with Regional Controllership teams, corporate functional groups, and our external shared services partners to maintain global accounting alignment and support our comprehensive audit processes.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
Technical Accounting Leadership: Lead the interpretation, implementation, and documentation of new and existing accounting standards, addressing emerging issues across corporate functional groups.
Financial Reporting Support: Directly support the global financial reporting process for quarterly and annual financial statements, specifically Form 10-Q and Form 10-K filings.
Policy Governance & Consistency: Maintain global symmetry and consistency in accounting practices, policies, key judgments, and procedural protocols across all business units.
Cross-Functional & Audit Collaboration: Partner with Regional Controllership teams and finance shared services outsource providers to coordinate, analyze, and support global company audits.
Strategic Problem Solving: Apply complex judgment and interpretative thinking to evaluate country-level accounting issues and independently develop innovative, group-wide solutions.
What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate will have:
10-12 years of financial statement audit and reporting experience within a public accounting firm or a large, multi-national public company.
At least 5 years of experience operating successfully at a manager level or above.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is strictly required.
Strong knowledge of United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) alongside extensive multi-national audit experience.
Proven ability in navigating complex corporate environments, executing in-depth financial analysis, and frequently collaborating with senior management.
