Job Summary
The Sr Manager, Tax Accounting is responsible to coordinate and manage the income tax accounting process to comply with ASC 740 responsibilities. The role is responsible for assist with income tax compliance and income tax audits.
Duties and Responsibilities (other duties as assigned)
- Preparation of income tax provision and reconciliation of tax accounts, including performance of key internal control procedures.
- Preparation of financial reporting information related to taxes (periodic tax provision, computation of effective tax rate, income tax footnote and other tax related financial disclosures)
- Communicate and collaborate with external providers and internal resources to manage processes, timelines, and deliverables.
- Respond to related tax correspondence and research issues as they arise.
- Review quarterly income tax reserve analysis. Ensure proper supporting documentation and work papers for federal and state income tax audits are obtained to support this analysis.
- Perform tax research for fundamental tax issues involving federal, state and international income tax issues and planning projects
- Assist in preparation of federal, state, and local income tax returns.
- Assist in preparation of quarterly estimated payments and annual extensions for state and local income tax returns.
- Prepare federal returns for not-for-profit entities and benefit plans.
