Our Talent Acquisition team is at the forefront of attracting and engaging top talent who are passionate about changing banking for good. We are scaling our footprint and seeking a vision first leader who embodies transformation ownership and a possibilities mindset to drive our Capital One Canada growth strategy.
About the Role
In this role, you will design and implement recruiting strategies to attract top talent, create strong business partner relationships, and be a trusted leader for all things talent acquisition. You will have a passion for keeping abreast of trends and innovative recruiting techniques in order to remain competitive and deliver a world-class experience to our partners and candidates. You will care deeply about people and have a passion for developing team members and ensuring their success.
Your Responsibilities:
  • Lead and Elevate: Manage and mentor a team of experienced recruiters and leaders across early careers and corporate hiring. You will foster a culture of high performance, empowerment, and transformative ownership.
  • Hiring Strategy: Design and execute strategies to identify and recruit top talent, owning the candidate development process from identification and engagement to offer extension and closing.
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Serve as a strategic consultant to executive leadership and hiring managers. You'll be their "eyes and ears" in the market, providing real-time insights on talent availability and competitive positioning.
  • Data-Driven Influence: Use data and market intelligence to influence hiring decisions and optimize the recruitment funnel.
  • End-to-End Ownership: Oversee the full lifecycle of candidate development from innovative sourcing and deep engagement to complex offer negotiations and closing.
  • Process Innovation: Participate in and lead global projects that enhance the recruiting experience, ensuring Capital One remains an employer of choice in a competitive landscape.

Basic Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of experience in full-lifecycle recruiting
  • At least 4 years of experience in high-touch stakeholder management.
  • At least 2 years of direct people leadership.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business, or related field
  • Proven experience in International Recruiting or leading expansion efforts into new geographic markets.
  • 7+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition Strategy or a combination of TA and HR strategy.
  • 5+ years of experience in People Management with a focus on coaching senior-level recruiters.
  • 2+ years of experience leveraging data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Google Sheets) to drive TA outcomes.
