The Strategic Sourcing Sr. Manager for purchases of various goods and services related to Client’s c-store operations, and corporate spend. Responsible for materials and services sourcing, cost maintenance, and supplier performance management. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: •Manage a team of professionals associated with strategic commodity management and strategic sourcing events. •Ensure internal customer needs are met, identify and remove roadblocks. •Ensure staff is managing their deliverables in pursuit of the project goals. •Lead cross functional commodity teams in the commitment of company funds and determination of sources of supply, quantities purchased, delivery schedule, and price negotiations to achieve lowest total cost of ownership. •Determine and acquire additional resources as needed. •Develop appropriate contracting and sourcing practices and present to the business units to maximize value. •Plan and execute transactional procurements. •Manage overall supplier performance issues. •Manage and direct staff to ensure implementation of strategic sourcing initiatives are met. •Manage the use of best practices for all aspects of the Procurement & Supply Chain organization. Consults and guide business unit leaders in proper Procurement and Supply Chain practices. •Negotiate effective, implementable contracts meeting all legal requirements. Award and manage bids. Develop and implement negotiation strategies. Ensure compliance with all corporate procurement policies and procedures and the use of best practices for all aspects of the Procurement & Supply Chain organization. •Research and assess market characteristics and internal demand for key commodities to identify opportunities for price concessions and process improvements. •Interviews suppliers, maintain current knowledge of market trends and project opportunities and threats to Client's business. The ideal candidate possesses the following qualifications: •BS/BA in Engineering, Supply Management, or Business •10+ years of experience in Sourcing or Supply Chain Management or related areas including purchasing, service contracting, negotiation and contract development •Strong leadership ability and management experience •Strong strategic and analytical skills •Advanced project management and financial analysis skills •Microsoft Office application (with emphasis on Excel and Power Point skills), demonstrated negotiation skills for multi-million dollar contracts •Knowledge of eSourcing, contracting and P2P applications (Best in class applications a plus) •

Skills Required

  • BS/BA in Engineering, Supply Management, or Business
  • 10+ years experience in Sourcing or Supply Chain Management including purchasing, service contracting, negotiation and contract development
  • Strong leadership ability and management experience
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills
  • Advanced project management and financial analysis skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills for multi-million dollar contracts
  • Knowledge of eSourcing, contracting and P2P applications
  • Experience with best-in-class eSourcing/P2P applications
