MKTG Sports + Entertainment is seeking a Senior Manager, Sponsorship Consulting, to join our team and help global brands maximize the value of their sports and entertainment investments, with a primary focus on Formula 1. In this role, you'll serve as a strategic advisor to a high-profile global client, helping shape partnership strategy, optimize sponsorship rights, identify growth opportunities, and drive business impact through one of the world's premier sports properties.
The ideal candidate combines sponsorship consulting expertise with strong partnership management capabilities and has experience leading integrated teams across brands, agencies, rightsholders, or sports marketing organizations. Reporting to the Senior Director, you'll play a key role on a global account team, partnering with client, property, and agency stakeholders to deliver innovative partnership strategies and best-in-class activation programs. This is a hybrid opportunity based in our New York City office and aligned with dentsu's flexible working model.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on the strategic management and optimization of the client's Formula 1 sponsorship rights, identifying opportunities to maximize partnership value, business impact, and return on investment.
- Lead partnership strategy development, leveraging knowledge of the sports and entertainment landscape to identify growth opportunities, emerging trends, and rights optimization recommendations.
- Develop a deep understanding of the client's business strategy, sponsorship portfolio, target audiences, and competitive landscape to inform recommendations and partnership planning.
- Lead relationships with Formula 1 stakeholders, teams, and rightsholders to identify opportunities that enhance partnership effectiveness and create incremental value for the client.
- Oversee the development of strategic deliverables, including partnership plans, recommendations, executive presentations, POVs, and growth opportunities, ensuring all materials are client-ready and insight-driven.
- Develop and maintain partnership planning, reporting, and measurement tools to support strategic decision-making, stakeholder alignment, and sponsorship performance evaluation.
- Apply expertise in integrated marketing, consumer engagement, content, social media, influencer marketing, and experiential programs to inform partnership strategy and maximize sponsorship effectiveness.
- Lead partnership planning and implementation across annual and event-specific initiatives, ensuring programs align with strategic objectives, deliver measurable impact, and remain on budget.
- Guide the review and evaluation of creative concepts, campaigns, and partnership initiatives, ensuring alignment with sponsorship objectives and client goals.
- Consult on the utilization of sponsorship assets, including merchandise, show cars, hospitality, talent access, and other rights, helping maximize partnership value and stakeholder impact.
- Travel is required, including some weekends and occasional holidays, depending on client assignments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in sponsorship consulting, partnership strategy, sports and entertainment marketing, brand consulting, account leadership, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience working in Formula 1 on the brand, agency, or property side.
- Experience developing, managing, or advising on sponsorship and partnership strategies for global brands, rights holders, agencies, or consulting organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and provide strategic recommendations that align partnerships with business objectives.
- Ability to present ideas and collaborate effectively in team environments while providing and receiving constructive feedback.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and staying informed about industry trends and best practices.
- Ability to contribute to team initiatives, events, and collaborative activities that support an inclusive and positive work environment.
Additional Information
The annual salary range for this position is $71,875-$96,025. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation.

Skills Required
