CSG is expanding our global engineering footprint and seeking a seasoned Sr. Manager of Software Development to lead our new development hub in Brazil. This role will provide in-region leadership and oversee the build-out of one or more software development teams. Development teams are led by a Manager Software Development and consist of approximately eight engineers and testers. Our Sr. Manager will be responsible for operational planning, team development, and delivery execution aligned with our strategic objectives. This is a critical leadership role that combines technical depth, people leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.
We are looking for a Sr. Manager of Software Development who will:
- Lead and scale software development teams, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management.
- Develop operational plans that align with functional strategies and corporate standards.
- Define project objectives, scope, and deliverables; manage schedules and budgets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Management, QA, and Architecture
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, quality assurance processes, and security policies.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of increasing managerial experience in software development
- Familiarity with cloud-native development, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices
- Proficiency in AI technologies and their application in software development
- Budget management and strategic planning capabilities
- Strong background in Agile project management, software development lifecycle, and risk management
- Proven experience building and leading high-performing engineering teams
- Experience working in a global or distributed team environment
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work in a CLT contract position
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in a business environment
