About the Role
We're hiring a hands-on Sr. Manager of Social and Content Marketing to make sure the world takes notice of PointFive as we scale. This isn't a strategy-deck-and-delegate job — you'll write, produce, experiment, and ship content yourself, using AI tools to move quickly without compromising quality.
What You'll Do
- Write and produce social content yourself — LinkedIn is home base, but you'll go where the audience actually is (Reddit, GitHub, etc.).
- Push brand voice and experimentation: try things, kill what doesn't work, and bring a creative POV beyond feature announcements.
- Help leadership build a real online presence — developing posts, commentary, and bylines with the CMO that feel authentic, not corporate.
- Help shape and co-produce video and multimedia content, including scripted series and avatar-led change logs.
- Own the content calendar and editorial ops — blog posts, newsletters, campaigns, and launches — coordinating with product and demand gen.
- Learn the product deeply and translate technical concepts (like DeepWaste and the Capture → Detect → Resolve framework) into content both engineers and non-engineers respect.
- Write AEO/SEO content for both humans and LLMs, building AI-search thinking into everything you create.
- Track performance in HubSpot and Amplitude and use the learnings to sharpen the program.
What We're Looking For
Must-have
- 5–8 years in content, social, or brand; B2B SaaS experience a plus.
- A portfolio that shows range: posts that performed, formats you invented, experiments that failed interestingly.
- Proven ability to write for technical audiences without losing the humans in the room.
- Experience owning social content end-to-end — strategy, creation, publishing, analysis.
- Comfort with AI content tools as part of your core workflow, not as an afterthought.
Nice to have
- Background in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, FinOps, or developer tooling.
- Experience producing or scripting video content.
- Active presence in technical communities — Reddit, GitHub, Discord, X.
- Experience building a content program from near-zero.
- Strong, well-formed opinions on what makes B2B content terrible — and a track record of fixing it.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $155,000 - $165,000 plus equity.
- Health, dental, vision (yes, all three!), equity in something early-stage and exciting, generous PTO, 401K, meal & commuter benefits, and a team that will actually challenge you.
Why PointFive
- Founders with a track record — Built and sold IntSights to Rapid7. Backed by top-tier investors with deep conviction in this category.
- Category-defining product — DeepWaste detection and agentic remediation with clear, measurable ROI for both engineering and finance teams.
- Early-stage leverage — Your work directly shapes the product, the culture, and the go-to-market playbook.
- Small, senior marketing team — your work ships, gets seen, and matters immediately, in a culture that takes the problem seriously and itself lightly.
Skills Required
- 5–8 years in content, social, or brand
- Portfolio showing range of successful posts, formats, and experiments
- Proven ability to write for technical audiences while remaining approachable
- Experience owning social content end-to-end: strategy, creation, publishing, analysis
- Comfort using AI content tools as part of core workflow
- B2B SaaS experience
- Background in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, FinOps, or developer tooling
- Experience producing or scripting video content
- Active presence in technical communities (Reddit, GitHub, Discord, X)
- Experience building a content program from near-zero
- Strong opinions on B2B content and a track record of improving it
