This position is responsible for facilitating, implementing and managing the commercial forecasting process. This role involves analyzing market trends, sales data, and economic indicators to predict future sales and guide the company's sales outlook. The manager will collaborate with various departments, including Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain and Advanced Analytics to align forecasts with business objectives and operational capacities.
Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

Sales Forecasting:

Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and business insights.

Utilize advanced forecasting models and tools to predict future sales performance.

Monitor and adjust forecasts regularly to reflect changing market conditions and business dynamics.

Leverage multiple data resources such as retailer inventory data and TPM promo plans to identify knowledge adjustments to factor into the Commercial forecast

Data Analysis:
-
Analyze sales data to identify patterns, trends, and potential opportunities or risks.

Conduct variance analysis to understand discrepancies between forecasted and actual sales.

Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management based on data analysis.

Collaboration:

Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to ensure alignment of forecasts with business goals and operational capabilities.

Communicate forecast assumptions, methodologies, and results to stakeholders.

Help facilitate Commercial Leadership meetings to review and update forecasts.

Reporting:

Prepare and present regular sales forecast updates to senior management.

Collaborate with Advanced Analytic Team to create dashboards and visualizations to communicate forecast data effectively.

Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales forecasting accuracy and effectiveness.

Process Improvement:

Continuously refine and improve the sales forecasting process.

Implement best practices and leverage new technologies to enhance forecasting accuracy and efficiency.

Train and mentor Commercial team members on forecasting techniques & tools.

Education and Experience
-
Bachelor’s Degree Required
-
At least 7 years of experience in sales forecasting, sales planning, or a related analytical role. Experience in the industry relevant to the company is advantageous.

Passion for data analysis and great ability to effectively extract insights

Strength in summarizing data from multiple sources and providing recommendations as well as reporting output

Ability to work within established processes and timelines

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Good financial and business acumen

Solid communication skills (written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills) with the ability to communicate across multiple functions and levels
Skills and Competencies

Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in statistical analysis and forecasting methodologies.

Excellent knowledge of sales forecasting software and tools

Ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights

Exhibit meticulous attention to detail particularly with data and communication

Proficient in Circana, Microsoft Office (Excel & PowerPoint), PowerBI
