About the Role
Omnicell is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting & Reporting to join its Finance organization. Reporting to the Director of Revenue Recognition, this role will serve as a key technical accounting leader responsible for ensuring revenue from ASC 606 and ASC 842 orders is recognized and reported in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
The Senior Manager will provide technical accounting guidance across Omnicell’s portfolio of hardware and software products, SaaS, services, and leasing arrangements, while overseeing critical revenue and lease accounting processes, technical accounting assessments, contract review, consolidated revenue reporting, and SOX-compliant controls.
This role will also serve as the Revenue Accounting subject matter expert for the company’s multi-year SAP transformation, helping ensure system design, reporting, data integrity, and controls align with accounting policy and financial reporting requirements.
This position will manage a small team of 1–2 Senior Analysts and partner closely with Finance, IT, Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, Legal, SEC Reporting, external auditors, and implementation partners to support accurate, scalable, and compliant revenue recognition across the organization.
What You’ll Do

Serve as one of the company’s primary subject matter experts for ASC 606 and ASC 842, providing technical guidance on complex transactions and emerging business initiatives while ensuring Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

Review customer contracts, sales agreements, amendments, and non-standard deal structures to determine appropriate accounting treatment and revenue recognition conclusions while ensuring worldwide revenue is accurately and timely recognized.

Research, interpret, and apply applicable U.S. GAAP guidance and prepare technical accounting memoranda supporting significant accounting positions.

Evaluate the impact of new accounting pronouncements and partner with stakeholders to implement changes to accounting policies and processes.

Lead the Revenue Accounting workstream for the company’s multi-year SAP implementation, serving as the primary subject matter expert and key point of contact for revenue-related system design, configuration, testing, reporting, and process decisions.

Define business requirements, review functional designs, oversee user acceptance testing, validate revenue reporting outputs, and ensure appropriate controls support financial reporting and SOX compliance throughout the revenue lifecycle.

Ensure worldwide revenue, lease accounting, and related contract assets and liabilities are accurately recognized and reported in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.

Partner closely with business partners to ensure revenue-related requirements are met and continually streamlined as necessary.

Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external auditors.

Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 1–2 Senior Revenue Analysts, providing ongoing coaching, technical training, performance feedback, and career development opportunities.

Lead key aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue close process, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and adherence to close timelines and SEC reporting requirements.

Expert knowledge of ASC 606 Revenue from Contracts with Customers and related reporting requirements.

Expert knowledge of ASC 842 Lease Accounting and related reporting requirements.

Strong knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and experience ensuring compliance.

Proven ability to analyze and document complex accounting matters and communicate conclusions effectively.

SAP system experience, particularly with RAR, strongly preferred.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple competing deadlines.

Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop accounting professionals.

Experience partnering with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Operations teams in a fast-paced environment.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Advanced Excel skills and experience with SAP ERP systems and revenue accounting applications.

Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and drive operational efficiencies through technology and automation.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.

CPA required or strongly preferred.

Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including significant revenue accounting responsibilities.

Minimum of 3 years of public accounting experience and/or a combination of public accounting and industry experience.

Minimum of 2–4 years of people leadership experience, including mentoring and developing accounting professionals.

Significant experience applying ASC 606 guidance in software, hardware, SaaS, services, and multiple-performance-obligation arrangements.

Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting.

Experience preparing technical accounting memoranda and supporting external audits.

Experience in a public company environment with exposure to SEC reporting processes.
Preferred Qualifications

Active CPA license.

MBA or advanced degree in Accounting or Finance.

Experience within the healthcare technology, medical device, software, or SaaS industries.
