Sr. Manager of Project Management

The Sr. Manager of Project Management is responsible to lead a team of engineering project managers to plan, implement, manage and successfully complete the company’s major capital projects as assigned by the Director of Project Management. This position will interface with developers, architects, general contractors, engineering firms, permitting jurisdictions and are responsible to directly manage and supervise Niagara’s chosen contractors.

Essential Functions

  • Reports directly to the Director of Project Management
  • Has regular interdepartmental communication and interaction with key internal stakeholders
  • Responsible for planning and directing the work of multiple project managers, monitoring their work, and taking corrective action when necessary
  • Work with Director of Project Management to develop budget, scope, and schedules for capital projects
  • Makes high level recommendations and/or decisions with limited oversight
  • Provides input to the project design and leads the Engineering PMs in their management of the construction, equipment installation and commissioning process
  • Actively monitors project schedules and makes the necessary changes to stay on track
  • Participates in weekly general contractor meetings as Niagara’s representative when applicable
  • Ensures projects are implemented in accordance Niagara’s policies and procedures including but not limited to safety, good manufacturing practices (GMP’s), quality and generally accepted construction and  equipment installation methods
  • Advises Engineering PMs in their collaboration with the plant director, plant engineer and maintenance manager for a seamless transition at the conclusion of the project and handoff to the plant
  • Leads project management continuous improvement efforts and communication of best practices
  • Extensive Travel – Minimum 75%  to Maximum 100%

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • 6 Years  – Experience in Construction & Equipment Installation field
    • 6 Years  – Experience in Food  Or Plastics Manufacturing 
    • 6 Years  – Experience in Supervisory Capacity

Education

  • Minimum Required: 
    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and other related fields or equivalent experience
  • Preferred: 
    • Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Typical Compensation Range

Pay Rate Type: Salary

$145,698.80 - $211,263.27 / Yearly

Bonus Target: 15% Annual
