The Role

Introduction

This role is ideal for a driven and motivated leader who excels at partnering with both internal stakeholders and external agency teams. You will develop and execute iRobot Japan’s marketing communication strategy and full-funnel media plan to convey product benefits and generate market demand for both online and offline channels, while managing budgets and overseeing day-to-day digital marketing performance. As a key member of the Marketing & eCommerce leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth in Japan. You will also lead iRobot’s CRM initiatives to strengthen customer loyalty and maximize the lifetime value of iRobot owners.

Essential Functions / Job Duties

  • Develop iRobot Japan’s marketing communication strategy and full-funnel media plan.
  • Execute media buying in close collaboration with internal teams and agency partners.
  • Closely working with global marketing team to ensure local needs are heard and incorporated, to realize locally relevant creatives and communications.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure marketing activities align with Japan’s commercial strategy and global brand communication guidelines.
  • Lead the MMM (Marketing Mix Modeling) process for Japan, ensuring the global modeling team delivers updated models and simulations to inform optimal media mix decisions.
  • Oversee the CRM team to plan and execute programs that deepen engagement with existing customers, increase product and service usage, and drive sales across accessories, repurchase, and replacement categories.
  • Manage agency relationships and ensure communication strategies are aligned with key partners in Japan.
  • Coach, motivate, and develop team members as a senior leader within the Marketing & eCommerce organization.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of business experience, including 5+ years leading marketing strategy and execution for a major consumer brand or technology company.
  • Experience managing integrated marketing in Japan across both traditional and digital channels, including TV, OOH, paid digital, social media, and owned media; strong understanding of current consumer and media trends.
  • Excellent command of digital marketing metrics (e.g., CVR, CPA, ROAS, ACOS, LTV).
  • Strong balance of creative thinking and analytical capability, paired with a hands-on approach to execution.
  • Proven ability to lead multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • People management skills, team management experience.
  • Fluency in Japanese and English (both written and spoken).

Nice to Have

  • Experience in CRM strategy and execution.
  • Background in consumer electronics.
  • Ability to thrive in an international environment across multiple languages and time zones.
