  • Translate process inputs into comprehensive C&I engineering documents and specifications.
  • Perform sizing, selection, and specification of transmitters, analyzers, control valves, actuators, and other field instruments for hazardous and non-hazardous areas.
  • Prepare and review datasheets, loop diagrams, logic diagrams, hook-up drawings, cable schedules, JB & panel drawings, and IOM manuals.
  • Generate accurate Control Narratives and ensure correct implementation in PLC/DCS/SCADA/BMS/ESD systems.
  • Lead and participate in 3D model reviews, HAZOP, SIL studies, and technical design review meetings with clients and global teams.
  • Ensure engineering compliance with API, NFPA, IEC, ISA, ATEX, and applicable local regulations.
  • Prepare Hazardous Area Classification documentation and ensure appropriate selection of Ex-proof or Intrinsically Safe instrumentation.
  • Integrate safety, reliability, and lifecycle cost considerations into engineering decisions.
  • Lead the C&I scope during FEED and detailed engineering phases, including man-hour estimation, scheduling, and progress monitoring.
  • Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Electrical, and Piping teams to deliver integrated engineering packages.
  • Interface with clients, licensors, vendors, and Zeeco’s global offices for technical alignment and clarifications.
  • Review vendor documents, conduct Technical Bid Evaluations (TBEs), and support procurement and vendor qualification.
  • Participate in FAT/SAT activities for control systems and panels.
  • Support commissioning teams during loop checks, calibration, system integration, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide support during Performance Guarantee Tests (PGTR) to ensure contractual compliance.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support skill development within the C&I team.
  • Standardize engineering templates, procedures, and checklists to improve consistency and quality.
  • Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate virtually with global engineering teams and stakeholders across time zones.
  • Travel occasionally for FATs, client meetings, design reviews, and site visits.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering or related discipline.
  • 10+ years of industry experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial or lead engineering role.
  • Strong background in heavy engineering, fired equipment, process equipment, Oil & Gas, Refineries, Petrochemicals, or Process Plant Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience in FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) and Detailed Engineering for complex process units.
  • Proven exposure to international codes & standards (API, NFPA, ISA, IEC, ATEX, etc.).
  • Minimum 5 years of field experience in commissioning, site support, or instrumentation for process equipment or VRUs (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Experience collaborating on global engineering projects is essential.

Why Join Zeeco?
