Localization Lead, UAE & Saudi Arabia
Join a Teledyne business serving defense, aerospace, and advanced technology markets across the Eastern Hemisphere. In this highly strategic role, you will help shape and execute localization and industrial participation initiatives that create measurable business growth while supporting national capability development objectives.
Based in Abu Dhabi, you will build trusted relationships with government stakeholders, sovereign entities, industry partners, and research organizations. If you enjoy turning complex localization requirements into commercially successful partnerships, this is an opportunity to influence major programmes across the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
 
What you'll do
  • Develop senior relationships with UAE and Saudi government, defense, and industry stakeholders.
  • Identify, negotiate, and establish strategic partnerships with local industry, academia, and sovereign entities.
  • Create revenue-generating localization and industrial participation programmes aligned with Teledyne technologies.
  • Integrate localization strategies into captures, bids, and major procurement opportunities.
  • Structure commercial models, governance frameworks, and funding approaches for complex initiatives.
  • Lead execution of programmes including technology transfer, applied research, capability development, and production localization.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams from concept through commercialization.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of opportunities tied to national programmes and long-term initiatives.
  • Develop local innovation, supplier, and talent ecosystems that support long-term growth.
  • Track programme performance, compliance, localization metrics, and business outcomes.
 
What you need
  • Required: Ability to build influence with senior government, sovereign, and industry stakeholders.
  • Required: Strong commercial acumen and partnership development expertise.
  • Required: Experience structuring complex multi-party commercial arrangements and programmes.
  • Required: 10+ years of experience in defense, aerospace, industrial participation, or strategic business development within the Middle East.
  • Required: Demonstrated success delivering localization or industrial participation initiatives in the UAE and/or Saudi Arabia.
  • Required: Knowledge of UAE and Saudi localization frameworks and industrial strategies.
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, International Relations, or a related field.
  • Advantage: Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
